Position Yorklands Communications Coordinator

Description The Communications Coordinator will play a vital role in crafting and distributing Yorklands Green Hub’s bi-weekly e-blast to subscribers. You will develop creative content that showcases our programs, highlights community events, and updates readers on environmental advocacy efforts. The role involves:

Planning, drafting, and editing content for bi-weekly e-blasts (using platforms such as Keela or similar)

Working collaboratively with the Chair and volunteers to gather updates, photos, and upcoming events

Scheduling and publishing e-blasts on a regular bi-weekly schedule

Ensuring consistent branding, tone, and voice across communications

Updating mailing lists and monitoring audience engagement analytics

Supporting social media content that complements e-blast campaigns

Training in newsletter software (e.g., Keela), if needed

Ongoing mentorship and feedback from experienced volunteers or board members

Access to past e-blast archives for inspiration and reference
Working Conditions Work remotely from home or your preferred workspace

Occasional Zoom check-ins with the team (bi-weekly or monthly)

Must have access to email, internet, and basic graphic/design tools (Canva, Google Drive)
