| Description |
1. Show a high level of energy, enthusiasm and contribute as a team member 2. Actively participate and assist with games and activities in the water 3. Be friendly and encouraging to all camp participants, leaders, co- volunteers and lifeguards 4. Support and assist the camp staff during activities in the water 5. Work cooperatively with camp staff and co-volunteers throughout the volunteer placement 6. Be onsite and be prepared to start your shift on time 7. Wear volunteer singlet and appropriate swim attire 8. Remain within arm’s length of campers assigned to you (2:1 camper to volunteer ration in pool/pool area) 9. Ensure use of appropriate behaviour and language at all times 10. Provide understanding and encouragement to each participant 11. Take appropriate precautions to ensure the well-being and safety of all participants 12. Record your volunteer hours in the Volgistics data base 13. Complete an exit evaluation on completion of volunteer position |

• Complete online training and in person orientation • Read, know and understand the volunteer guidelines, policies and procedures and become familiar with the Volunteer Handbook |
