Impact Statement Help change a child's life! Raising a puppy to become a future service dog for a child with autism will have a lasting impact on you and will help to enrich a child and families life forever.
Description Foster families are responsible for all daily care of a puppy including training, socializing and exercising the puppy while living at their home. Fosters will be required to attend bi-weekly puppy classes and transport the puppy to the vet for appointments. All vet care, food and most of the equipment is supplied by the organization. Time frames can range from 4-6 up to 18 months.

Training Details Consistent training is provided at bi weekly puppy classes as well as from a 1-1 support trainer. Training continues through the entire fostering period. Dog training or experience is not required. An orientation session will be held prior to beginning with a puppy.
Working Conditions Ideal candidates have a flexible schedule which allows them to take the puppies out for relief breaks, exercise and socialization opportunities. Must be comfortable with physical activity - walking and managing a dog leash. You must have access to a vehicle to attend puppy training classes and vet appointments.
