Position Big Brother - Community-Based 1-1 Mentoring

Impact Statement Ignite the potential of a young person by engaging in a life-changing mentoring relationship.
Description Mentees and Mentors explore and enjoy their local community together. Spending at minimum 8 hours a month together, matches choose their own schedule, activities, events or community resources to explore. Matches share interests and discover new ones together in their local community. Every match has access to consistent support from a BBBS professional caseworker staff who helps them stay safe, stay committed and reach individual milestones and goals.

Training Details Training is provided on child safety & disclosure, and on relationship building.
Once matched, support from a professional caseworker is provided ongoingly.
Minimum Duration 7 - 12 months
Timing Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime, Weekend - Evening, Anytime
Time Detail The volunteer coordinates with their assigned family to arrange outings that work for everyone's schedule. There is flexibility, with an emphasis on consistency.
