| Description |
Village Finding volunteers work in person directly with children and families. They help create a safe, stable environment for children and reduce stress for caregivers so that they are better able to provide for their children. Village Finding volunteers will offer general support identified by a family. The specific type of support provided will depend on the support families need, and what volunteers are able and willing to provide. Based on skills, interests, and needs, this role may include: • Walking a child to and from school • Providing informal childcare • Cleaning and organizing a home • Doing basic home maintenance and repair tasks The Village Finding Coordinator will work with volunteers and re-visit the task list, working hours, and working location regularly to ensure this is a meaningful and helpful role for both volunteers and the families and children. |
