Impact Statement At Yorklands Green Hub, our volunteers are the heart of TreeMobil, helping to bring the benefits of fruit-bearing trees and plants directly to Guelph residents. Through their dedication, we make it easier for individuals and families to cultivate sustainable food sources right in their own backyards.
Each year, our volunteers contribute countless hours to coordinating orders, organizing deliveries, and ensuring every tree and plant reaches its new home in great condition. Their efforts support local food security, promote biodiversity, and help create a greener, healthier Guelph.

From planting seeds of change to delivering trees that will nourish generations to come, TreeMobil volunteers make an impact that grows season after season..
Description TreeMobil is a Yorklands Green Hub initiative that provides Guelph residents with home delivery of fruit-bearing trees and plants. Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of this program by assisting with logistics, deliveries, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment: Help organize and prepare trees and plants for delivery.
Delivery Support: Transport and distribute trees and plants to residents across Guelph.
Required Information References Required
Training Details Training materials will be provided in advance and on event day.
Working Conditions Physical Environment:
Outdoor Work: Volunteers delivering trees or assisting at pick-up events may work outside in various weather conditions, including sun, wind, and light rain.
Indoor Work: Administrative and coordination tasks are typically completed indoors, either at home (remote work possible) or at designated event locations.
Physical Activity: Some roles involve moderate lifting (small trees and plants), walking, and carrying materials. Accommodations can be provided as needed.

Time Detail Small Plant Potting – Help prepare small plants!
Saturday April 25 |  10 AM – 4 PM | 2-6 volunteers needed

 Order Sorting – Get customer orders ready for pickup!
Friday May 2 |  2-hour shifts from10 AM – 6 PM |  4-6 volunteers needed

 Customer Pick-Up & Deliveries – Help customers and make deliveries!
Saturday May 3 |  2-hour shifts from 10 AM – 4 PM
6 volunteers for pick-ups
 2-3 volunteers with large vehicles/trailers for delivery routes (12 PM – 4 PM)
Age 16+
Ideal for An Individual, Newcomers, Youth, Older Adults/Seniors, High School Students
