Description Yorklands Green Hub is seeking dedicated volunteers to support our Tree Mobile Project by assisting with sorting orders, preparing and potting fruit-bearing trees and plants, and helping with delivery logistics. This role will primarily involve hands-on tasks related to nursery operations and transportation of trees and plants to various locations within the Guelph community.

Responsibilities:

Sorting Orders: Assist in sorting and organizing incoming orders of fruit-bearing trees and plants. This may involve inspecting plant materials, arranging them for easy access, and ensuring accurate inventory management.

Preparing and Potting Trees and Plants: Help prepare potting mixtures, containers, and planting materials for potting fruit-bearing trees and plants. Participate in potting activities, including filling containers, transplanting seedlings, and labeling plants accordingly.

Delivery Assistance: Support the delivery team in loading trees and plants onto delivery vehicles. Assist with navigating delivery routes, unloading materials at designated locations, and providing assistance to customers as needed.

Time Detail We’re seeking 10-12 high school age or older volunteers for a 2+ hour shift on April 13 between 8:00 and 5:00, May 3rd between 9:00 and 5:00 or May 4th between 9:00 and noon. Or all three days! Also seeking anyone with a pick up or cargo style van for deliveries.
