Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW) is one of the largest community mental health agencies in Ontario, providing a full range of mental health and developmental programs and services for Waterloo and Wellington residents.
Description Are you interested in volunteering with a progressive, dynamic organization that seeks to make a real difference in the lives of people with mental health & addictions challenges and developmental disabilities? Would you like to share your board experience and your talents while contributing to improved mental health, addictions and developmental services? We’re looking for someone like you to join our Board of Directors and Board committees.

We welcome all applicants who possess skills, experience and areas of expertise as identified above. We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in the legal and financial fields, as well as those who have experience with diverse populations and knowledge of the broader health care sector.
Training Details Orientation is provided for new members, and is ongoing throughout your tenure as Board Member.
Working Conditions Hybrid of in-person indoor meetings and virtual work.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and ideally live in Wellington County, Guelph or Waterloo Region.
Minimum Duration More than 1 year
Timing Weekday - Evening
Time Detail Approx 10 hr/month, including monthly Board meeting, monthly Committee meeting and meeting prep. No meetings in December or the Summer.

A time commitment of 10 hrs/month is required. This includes the monthly two-hour Board meeting and associated preparation, and one 1.5 hr committee meeting with associated preparation.
