| Description |
Program Preparation: -Assist in setting up educational materials, displays, and activity stations for each session -Help organize resources and supplies for hands-on learning experiences, including art, science, and nature materials Activity Facilitation: -Engage with children and youth participants during activities, encouraging exploration, curiosity, and respect for nature -Guide small groups of children through activities such as nature walks, science experiments, and art projects related to environmental topics Support and Safety: -Ensure participants follow program guidelines for safety and respect for the natural environment -Assist in supervising children, maintaining a safe and positive learning environment Post-Program Support: -Help with cleanup of materials and equipment after each session -Provide feedback on program activities and suggest improvements to enhance participant experience |

School Environment: Volunteers will work primarily in elementary school settings, interacting with students, teachers, and staff in classrooms, gymnasiums, or outdoor areas on school grounds. Physical Activity: The role may involve physical activities such as setting up equipment and participating in outdoor activities, which require a moderate level of physical fitness. Variable Schedule: Volunteers should be prepared for a flexible schedule that aligns with school hours and program needs, including occasional early mornings or afternoons. Weather Conditions: When activities are held outdoors, volunteers may be exposed to various weather conditions. Appropriate attire for outdoor work is necessary. Team Collaboration: Will work closely with other volunteers and school staff, requiring strong teamwork and communication skills. Child-Focused Environment: Working with elementary-aged children requires patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to engage and manage groups of young students effectively. Resource Availability: Access to program materials and resources will be provided, but volunteers may need to transport or help manage these resources during activities.
