| Impact Statement | The Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington's (ASWW) mission is to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias and to promote research. To work towards this mission, ASWW offers a variety of specialized programs and services including Social Work support, education and therapeutic recreational programming to persons living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias, their family members and friends, professionals and the public throughout the Waterloo Wellington area. |
| Description |
•The Board is responsible for governing the affairs of ASWW, delegating the day-to-day operations to the Executive Director, and delegating certain duties to Board Committees •There are 10 Board meetings per year (monthly except for July and August). Currently meetings are held in person with the option of virtually on the third Wednesday of every month from 6:15 – 8:15 pm in the Kitchener office •Board members serve a two-year term, renewable for two additional terms •All Board members must join at least one Committee |
